My name is Marc Poole. I am a published photographer living in Southern California. I am a father of two I call my daughter Ace and my Son Bud. After I graduated high school, I started studying architecture in Alabama before enlisting in the U.S. Army. The Army allowed me to see different parts of the world such as Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia, and the Serbian border where I kept my 35mm camera loaded. After serving my country, I continued my education until I earned a Master of Arts in Business Management at the University of Redlands.
I fell in love with photography in the eighth grade when I shot and developed my first roll of black and white film. Over the years my photography developed into wedding photography, headshots, modeling, event photography, real estate and commercial photography. For the past 4 years I have been heavily involved with high schools senior cap and gown portraits. My studio currently service high school contracts providing schools with 9-12 grade images for their annual yearbooks as well as photography services for the high school dances.
During downtime, I'm still looking for something to photograph, such as city life, skylines, architecture, landscape or people; anything that will tell a story. Clients love my work because of my creativity, customer relations, and ability to connect to my subjects. I love working with people, and that's what makes photography enjoyable for me. I think beyond photo shoots and study my subjects before taking a photo.
I believe everything was created for a reason and I try to photograph those reasons. I have always been fascinated with how a simple photo is directly tied to human emotions. I truly believe that a picture speaks a thousand words. They speak a thousand words about a moment; a moment where time is paralyzed. A thousand words that only memories can hear that softly speaks to one’s emotions of love, joy, happiness, excitement, enjoyment, as well as remorse, sorrow, and sadness. A photograph is a detailed image that explains what has been frozen in time.
